Memorable experiences stay with us —
no matter if it was extremely good or bad...

Crafting good experiences that resonate with users is paramount for good business. Only with understanding – understanding of the users, understanding of the context and understanding of the problem – does an appropriate solution emerge.

That’s where I come in. I thrive on solving problems and facing a challenge head on. Arriving at the perfectly designed solution, while not always on the first attempt, is what I strive for. Curiosity usually gets the best of me but I leave all my assumptions at the door. I’ve been around the block in the UX world, from small studios to gigantic corporations, from mom-and-pop shops to Fortune 500 companies, I have crafted all sorts of solutions from iPhone and Android apps to responsive websites, service design and more. My expertise includes strategy, user research, user experience, interaction and visual design.

You can preview a few of the experiences that I helped to craft below, just click to expand. Due to confidential matters, I must limit access to my full portfolio, but if you'd like access drop me a line and I'll be happy to oblige. ;)

a process that's constantly evolving.

Each problem has a slightly different approach but starts with the same basic framework – it's a process that will help in learning about your audience, defining the problem, and ultimately helping to create a successful user-centered solution.

DISCOVER
& UNCOVER

In the discovery phase, the goal is to research, observe and learn. To learn and empathize with the user, to understand the context and extract insights.

This phase can include user interviews and stakeholder interviews, analysis, workshops, benchmarking, observation and ethnography.

DEFINE
THE PROBLEM

Synthesizing the research from the discovery phase gives definition to the problem and helps establish goals and a definition of project success.

In this phase, both business and user requirements can be established and refined to create a common understanding and a shared project vision.

IDEATE, DESIGN, TEST & REPEAT

In the ideation phase, multiple ideas are generated and explored. All ideas are considered and all contributors are welcomed. Concepts are eventually evaluated and narrowed down.

Design is an iterative process, where ideas and concepts are validated, tested and refined.

From paper prototypes
to interactive prototypes, user testing adds valuable feedback into the loop.

LAUNCH
& OPTIMIZE

Collaboration is key in getting a successfully launched high-quality product. During the build and development phase, testing and quality assurance is conducted by the entire team to ensure a great product.

After deployment, analytics are measured to determine if project goals were met and to make optimizations if needed.
